The new Catellani & Smith showroom was inaugurated in Bergamo, on 8 December 2021, in the very central via Borfuro 1, a space that goes beyond the concept of a simple exhibition hall, becoming a meeting and co-working place for clients and architects, as well as new operational headquarters of the Italian sales office.

Designed by Capponi General Contractor, who oversaw the distribution of the rooms, and by interior designer Francesca Ravasio, the space is structured on three levels for a total of almost 500 square meters.

The new 'home' of Catellani & Smith is not simply a new shop in the heart of the Lower Town: the showroom was conceived, in fact, as an exhibition space dedicated to customers, but also as a meeting place for architects and professionals . The large and clear layout of the spaces responds to the current and future needs of a company that is constantly expanding on the international market.

On the ground floor, with the main entrance inside the gallery, the large open space is characterized by a welcoming living area and an area dedicated to the meeting room. Guests will be able to observe live details, finishes and the suggestive lighting effects of the lamps, which will be selected for the exhibition and changed several times during the course of the year.

The furniture and the positioning of the areas have been designed in order to create an atmosphere that gives a feeling of well-being, of 'home' - rather than a shop - to the visitor who crosses the threshold of the showroom to view the lamps and receive advice. for the purchase. Upstairs are the new Italian sales offices, moved here from the Villa di Serio headquarters, in response to the growth seen in the Italian market. A spacious meeting room will allow you to hold meetings with customers and national agents.

The basement, on the other hand, is an area reserved for corporate events, preview presentations of new collections, refresher and training workshops for international business partners or dedicated to installations and exhibitions. The industrial-style structure will, in fact, allow for a continuous transformation.

The Catellani family, which maintains the reins of the company founded by Enzo Catellani in 1989, has approached this new real estate investment with enthusiasm, combining the creation of a space that, in addition to responding to business needs, enhances the heart of the city. Thanks to the new showroom, in fact, Italian and international partners and customers will have the opportunity to get to know and appreciate the beauties of the Lower Town.
